Trouser Chains: give your silhouette some edge ⛓️
A well chosen trouser chain turns a plain outfit into a deliberate one. Have a look through the selection, from punk metal to auburn leather, from a light feather drop to brutalist steel.

Clips onto any pair of dungarees or jeans. Now the part nobody tells you. A chain is not chosen on its own: it is chosen alongside the cut of the trousers it will live on. On a narrow leg you see all of it. On a very wide leg it drowns in the folds.
Wide, wide leg, baggy and slim are not the same thing 📐
Those four words get used as synonyms. They are not.

Wide: the leg opens out gradually from the thigh down. The hip still reads.

Wide leg: full from hip to ankle, hanging straight down like a curtain.

Baggy: the volume sits on the seat and thighs, then the leg tapers towards the hem.

Slim: the fabric follows the leg, with enough elastane to sit down without straining the seams.
The chain behaves differently on each of them. On slim dungarees it lifts away from the body and you see the whole length of it. On a baggy cut it settles into the hollow between pocket and thigh. On wide leg the link size decides everything: a fine chain disappears into the drape, a chunky one still reads. On wide dungarees you have the most room to get it right.
The sack effect, and how to avoid it 🧱
The sack effect has nothing to do with the size you ordered. It comes from having no point where the garment pulls in. A loose piece that never narrows is volume with no information: no waist, no hip, no ankle.
Three ways to fix it. Mark the waist: belt, straps set short, top tucked in. Pull in the hem: a turn-up of 4 to 6 cm changes a wide leg completely. Break the vertical at the side, which is exactly what a chain does when it lays a diagonal across the hip. The mistake that fails every time: loose on top, loose at the bottom, and a fine chain over it.
Which fabric hangs well in which cut 🧵
Weight, in grams per square metre, decides the drape more than the colour does. Our fabrics run from 280 to 320 GSM.

280 GSM: soft, it folds loosely. Good on slim and baggy. On wide leg it flaps and creases at the knee.

300 GSM: the straightest drape. It works on nearly every cut without arguing.

320 GSM: dense, a bit stiff for the first few days. It holds a wide leg standing, literally. On slim it gets in the way.
Two fabric rules worth knowing. Raw denim hangs stiff and carries a heavy chain; washed, softened denim sags at the hip the moment you hang thick metal off it. Corduroy is the opposite problem: it marks at the contact point, so use leather there rather than steel.
Where to clip it, and how long 🔗
Attachment point: a belt loop, never a pocket. A jean pocket is not stitched to carry weight, and the corner seam goes long before the chain does. Length: the bottom of the loop should stop above mid thigh. Any lower and it knocks against your knee on the first flight of stairs.
On dungarees there is an option trousers do not have: clip it to the bib, on the strap ring. The chain then runs down the torso instead of the hip, and sits far better under a jacket. The rest of our accessories pair with it without any trouble.
What it is not: site kit. A chain dangling next to a spinning machine is one we would leave at home.
Getting the size right 📏
The chain has no size. The trousers underneath do. The classic mistake is starting from your top size instead of your trouser size: chest measurement decides nothing here, and adjustable straps recover 5 to 8 cm of body shape.
Two fingers should pass between strap and shoulder, no more. Caught between two sizes on a slim cut, take the smaller one. On wide or wide leg, take your exact size: going up a size on an already full cut is precisely how the sack effect gets made.

Part of our range ships from our own stock in Miramas, in the south of France, and we pack every order ourselves. That is Express Delivery, dispatched in 2 to 3 working days in France. If the trouser size is wrong, the exchange is free within 14 days.
Care, and this is the bit everyone forgets: take the chain off before washing. Metal in a drum wrecks the drum and the fabric. Wash at 30 °C inside out, no tumble dryer. At that temperature heavy cotton shrinks under 2 %, so the cut stays put. At 60 °C, considerably more. For the metal itself, a dry cloth is enough.
